10 Perfect Gifts for Teen Boys Under $15

gifts for teen boysThis post is part of a week long series, 10 Best Gifts Under $15

Each day this week, I’ll feature gifts for men, women, teen boys, teen girls and kids. (Next week I’m back to regularly scheduled programming.)

The gifts I’ve selected for these lists are things I would give (or have given) to my family and friends. I don’t gift things that aren’t useful or that I think will just be thrown into a closet and forgotten after two days.

I shop for all of my gifts on Amazon because 1) I don’t like to shop and 2) I can do it in my pjs at midnight. Also, free two day shipping with my Prime membership is a great added benefit.*

10 Perfect Gifts for Teen Boys Under $15

2 Pack Multifunctional Paracord Bracelets/Outdoor Survival Kit

If you have an outdoors lover to buy for, this may be just the thing for them! This survival bracelet is more than just a paracord. It is also includes a compass, whistle, and fire starter flint.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens

This is the 7 habits your teen needs! Includes real life stories from teens who have overcome roadblocks to become successful and achieve their goals. The book is chock full of fantastic examples, step-by-step guides, and great advice any teen can use.

Kendama

A Kendama is a “toy” for anyone and everyone. My 16 year old son has this and it’s one of the first things his friends grab when they go in his room. Practice “catching” the ball in the cups or spike and learn new tricks for hours of entertainment.

The Manual to Manhood: How to Cook the Perfect Steak, Change a Tire, Impress a Girl & 97 Other Skills You Need to Survive

This book includes all the practical things young men want and need to learn, including change a tire, interview for a job and impress a girl. The nice thing is they don’t have to read it cover to cover, but just pick it up and read a section at a time as they wish.

Anker PowerCore+ mini 3350mAh Portable Charger

I include this portable phone charger because my son needs one! Teens are often out and about with no access to a plug in…and we know they aren’t always good at keeping their battery charged before they leave the house.

Nike Black Cell Phone Keychain Lanyard

Lanyards help teens keep track of their keys! And they just happen to be a fashionable way to do it. (Again – after my son lost his keys three times in a month, this was the solution!)

Dylan Bluetooth Portable Outdoor Speaker

Here is a quality bluetooth speaker that will hold up to some abuse. It’s waterproof, dust proof, and shockproof, and holds a charge for up to 12 hours.

Assorted Candy Party Mix in Gift Box, 2 LB

Fire Balls, Airheads, Jawbusters, Laffy Taffys, Tootsie Rolls and more! I don’t know a teen boy that doesn’t love junk food. Since we don’t buy candy or soda at our house, I often gift a 12 pack of soda and some special snacks to my son and he loves it!

Gellwhu Men Soft Lined Thick Wool Knit Skull Cap

Maybe he’ll actually wear a hat that looks this good (and it’s really warm too!)

Dove Men+Care Hygiene Kit, Clean Comfort

He either showers obsessively or not often enough, right!? Either way, this is the perfect gift to keep him smelling good!

What’s the best (reasonably priced) gift you’ve given a teen boy?

  1. Some great ideas here, Amanda. I like the charger a lot. Do you think it might be easy to lose? Or does it fit firmly in a pocket?

I can imagine a conversation between a teenager and mom after she gives him the hygiene kit. “Jeez mom, do I really stink that bad?” / “Yes, I’m afraid you do.”

    1. Thanks, Mrs. Groovy! I do think the charger would be easy to lose if you don’t keep it in a secure spot. But, in my son’s case, it will easily fit into a pocket, so my hope is it will be put in there with the wallet, phone and keys (which haven’t been misplaced for 3 months now – Yay!!!).

Love the conversation between boy and mom! 🙂 Daily showers and copious amounts of deodorant are a necessity for any teenager, in my opinion!

  2. Great ideas Amanda! I think my son might even wear that hat too (he’s 18 this weekend!) The charger is almost a must have for kids. My son keeps his in his backpack – but my daughter doesn’t have one, so we picked one up for her. Love the “Manhood” book idea too!

    1. Happy, happy birthday to your son, Vicki! 🙂 The charger is in a box on it’s way to my house as we speak…

  3. Gloves with fingers that can still work a touchscreen were a big hit in our home last year!

Also gamer headsets for the Xbox are always a hit.

    1. Thanks, Ty! The gloves are great, especially for teens. Gamer headsets are a super idea! We have at least three of those in our house.
