Why are you here and why should you read our blog?
Firstly, we’d like to welcome you to Financial Money Tips!
We started out as a personal finance blog and are slowly but surely evolving into a multi-authored magazine that covers: tips, strategies, and opinionated advice on everything small business, investing, personal finance, and a little bit of everything in between. Posts by FMT staff is from our staff of writers, and individual freelance writers have their unique author’s box. Our Author’s have written for some of the biggest name companies: The Motley Fool, Seeking Alpha, Insider Monkey, and more. The biggest advantage to having multiple authors is that they bring a different perspective and opinion. We are fully confident that we can enrich you on your personal and business endeavors!
A Word From the Owners; Who Happen to be Brothers.
“The best teamwork comes from men (and women) who are working independently toward one goal in unison.” – James Cash Penny
Maybe it’s easier said then done to build full on team of business experts and employees. But maybe it’s not. We know this sounds cliche, but we’re in the PROCESS doing it with this business and if we can do it, so can YOU! Sure, we haven’t fully completed our team; we may never get to that point. We say this because, well, entrepreneurship is a never ending learning process. It also requires for you to be willing to adapt and willing to cut somebody if the urgency arises. It’s impossible to know everything there is to know about running a successful business. Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t, Richard Branson doesn’t, and neither do we.
Even though failure is the best guide to success, we are trying our best to be successful. We truly believe that failure is not an option for Financial Money Tips; that’s how everybody should treat any obstacle they encounter. Sometimes failure is a blessing in disguise, but…
Success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. – Coco Chanel
That is exactly our mindset!
Speaking of failure, we’ve been there. Oh yes, we’ve been there. Before we started this business, we started and failed many other businesses in many different industries. One of the first businesses we started was “Green’s Slugging Lumber” a baseball bat production company. We’re both passionate about baseball, so we thought, we’ll never give up with this! Man oh man, we had a rude awakening and the rest is history.
We know what you’re thinking, “you said failure is not an option for Financial Money Tips!” The point is that we have the right mindset to succeed. Green’s Slugging Lumber was a fun but painful learning process for us. We didn’t do the necessary research, study, and analysis to be successful. The inevitable failure made us improved businessmen and partners. Do you think it’s easy to be business partners as brothers? Heck no. We butt heads all the time! But, we make it work.
Why We Started This Blog
We’ll be honest with you, we’re not passionate about personal finance. It’s not our expertise. This really shouldn’t turn you off, though. Did you know that that Steve Jobs wasn’t passionate about technology? Would that make you want to throw your fancy new iPad away? Nope. When you hear successful entrepreneurs say “be passionate about WHAT you do” – Meaning, be passionate for the generalities of entrepreneurship, being part of a team, and reaping the satisfaction of creating a business from the ground up. Think about it. What if every entrepreneur started a business just because they were passionate about the particular kind of product or service? Compare how many people like sports to how many people like brushing their teeth. A lot of sports business owners are passionate for sports. But, that toothpaste you use: Colgate, Crest, whatever – as you know are businesses. I’m sure William Colgate was legitimately passionate for brushing his teeth – /sarcasam.
We know the importance of personal finance, so we started this business to help us increase our financial knowledge as well as yours, hence the motto “Self education will make you a fortune.” Gaining value entrepreneurial lessons while learning about valuable subjects is why we love running this website.
Even if we do fail with Financial Money Tips; it will NOT discourage us to start another business. Yet, it will give us the fire, and the knowledge to ultimately become successful!
