Is Protein Powder Worth The Cost, Chris Christie Weight Loss And Money Quickies For June 5, 2013Whey Too Expensive
My youngest son has decided to add muscles to his frame and on top of the many trips to the gym he has added drinking supplements to his routine.  Pre-workout, post workout and protein drinks all have names like power surge, energy rush and super pump and all seem very expensive.
Are supplements really necessary for building muscle or only for building the bank accounts of the companies that sell that them?Perhaps professional athletes like the pros on Dancing With The Stars need extra protein because they have to dance 8 hours a day but does the average gym rat need it?  A good diet with all  the food groups covered should do the same job at less cost but it is easier to throw protein powder and milk in a shaker than it is to scramble a few eggs and put a salad on a plate – less dishes too…

Thursday poll: Financial Freedom

– punchdebtintheface.com

Unless you have millions in the bank, you and I are probably not that different. We are both likely working towards securing financial freedom. I like the term financial freedom because it is vague and totally subjective. For one person it might mean going off the grid, living in a 40sqft shack, and growing your own food…

Yet Another Reason Why I Hate Buying Tickets From TicketmasterMost of you know I’ve had a hate/hate relationship with Ticketmaster for a long time now. After all, this is the company that wrote the book on ridiculous consumer fees that, many people argue, only serve to exploit their hapless customers. It’s a practice that’s all the more galling because of their current market dominance, which, if you ask me, borders on a monopoly…

Four Psychological Barriers to Long-Term Change

– consumerismcommentary.com/

Four Psychological Barriers to Long-Term ChangeThe concept of success means different things to different people. Ten years ago, my vision of long-term career success would have been getting a job in a great school district as a teacher, teaching for many years, and having a positive effect on the lives of the students who pass through my doors. Financial success would probably have been staying out of manageable debt…
