10 Perfect Gifts for Men Under $15

gifts-for-men-3This post is the beginning of a week long series, 10 Best Gifts Under $15

Each day this week, I’ll feature gifts for men, women, teen boys, teen girls and kids. (Next week I’m back to regularly scheduled programming.)

The gifts I’ve selected for these lists are things I would give (or have given) to my family and friends. I don’t gift things that aren’t useful or that I think will just be thrown into a closet and forgotten after two days.

I shop for all of my gifts on Amazon because 1) I don’t like to shop and 2) I can do it in my pjs at midnight. Also, free two day shipping with my Prime membership is a great added benefit.

Today, I’m starting with gifts for men. I find men hard to buy for. Especially when I don’t want to spend a ton of money, but don’t want to buy useless junk either. Hopefully you’ll find the perfect gift for the great guy in your life right here!*

Cliplight 111112 140 Lumens Super Bright Clipstrip LED Flashlight

This is not just your everyday flashlight, friends! It’s small enough to fit in your pocket, but it’s BRIGHT, magnetic, and water-resistant to boot! They had me at bright and magnetic. You know all those times you need both hands free to work on a project? Especially under the hood of a car? This flashlight is the answer.

RAK Magnetic Wristband (1 Pack) with Strong Magnets for Holding Screws, Nails, Drill Bits

Personal experience has taught me that bits, nails and screws on the floor aren’t always found. You know how many times my husband has said, “Now where did I put that ___?” (Fill in the blank and add expletives for a more realistic depiction). This wristband is the answer. It’s adjustable and has 10 strong magnets to hold screws, nails, bits and much more. Perfect for the DIYer.

If your guy is a hunter, backpacker, or camper, this may be just the thing for him! It’s a weather-proof fire starter with a compass and whistle. This would make a great stocking stuffer.

This is an attractive way to carry credit and debit cards, but still protect against theft by an RFID scanner. The nice thing about this card holder (besides it’s identity theft protection), is if something happens to it, there is a 100% money back guarantee.

Dove Men+Care Hygiene Kit, Clean Comfort

Here is an affordable gift set containing deodorant, body and face wash and shampoo. This is great smelling, but also gentle on the skin and Dove is a dermatologist recommended brand.

Hidden Passage: Handmade & Organic 3D Brain Teaser Wooden Puzzle for Adults

This is the perfect gift for the guys who love to get in touch with their inner child and be challenged. This puzzle is attractive enough to display, but challenging enough to keep him entertained.

If you are buying for a bearded man, this is a great gift! The set comes with an all natural beard comb and high quality beard oil (that also moisturizes the skin, keeping it from itching!).

These are high quality, highly rated gloves at a very affordable price. This is actually an attractive work glove that is comfortable, yet fitted enough to allow him to easily work on projects.

Baleaf Men’s Cool Dry Skin Fit Long Sleeve Compression Shirt

Here is a great base layer or workout long sleeve compression shirt that’s lightweight, but moisture wicking to better regulate body temperature. Make sure to order one size larger than normal shirt size on this one!

Weber 7447 Compact Rapidfire Chimney Starter

Does the guy in your life love to grill? This little chimney starter is the perfect way to easily light charcoal without lighter fluid. The charcoal is ready in just a few short minutes.

  1. Nice set of ideas. Man toys can be expensive.

The best reasonably priced gift I’ve given Jon was a $5 lamp that projects aliens and ufos on the ceiling. I got it as an impulse buy at Five Below, and it’s one of Jon’s favorite things. But this year I got him a Heat Keep shirt, because he’s always complaining that his back hurts and sitting on his heating pad. Instead of radiating out body heat, it keeps it in so his back stays nice and toasty. I got it them at Kohl’s for about $12 each, after various discounts and went ahead and gave him one of them. Needless to say, it was a hit. So now he’ll have 4 more to open christmas morning.

    1. Thanks Emily! And thank you for sharing your ideas. I love the lamp idea. I’ve never heard of a Heat Keep shirt, but it sounds really great! And, at $12 each, you just can’t go wrong.

  2. I love puzzles, so that would be my favorite thing on the list. I probably should get an RFID blocking sleeve at some point, though…

My extended family always does small gifts for each other, and I always get everyone a book. On the one hand it makes it easier, in that I don’t have to sift through the vast universe of possible gifts, but on the other hand, now everyone knows it is coming and I need to make sure I find personalized books that I think each person would like. Some people are easier to buy for than others…

    1. Thanks for the comment, Matt! I’m glad to know the puzzle would be a hit for you. My husband likes puzzles too, which is why it made the list.

Books are perfect, reasonably priced gifts, for sure! You’re right, it is easy…if you know what the other person likes to read. Even though you may have to do some searching, I always think it’s great fun to look through books to find the right one. Book shopping is the one kind of shopping I don’t mind doing.

  3. Nice ideas, Amanda! I still have a couple brothers to shop for and these are right in the wheelhouse. I really like the RFID wallet and also the magnetic wristband. I may actually get the wristband for myself too…I can think of too many times where this would have come in handy! Most recently would be the repair work on the outdoor shed, not easy to find things you set down in the grass… 🙂

    1. Thanks, GS! I’m glad you like the ideas. The wristband would definitely be handy! In fact, my 16 y.o. even said he’d like to have one.

  4. Wow I’m impressed at this list! I definitely would be happy receiving anything on it. I haven’t seen that magnetic wristband before but it seems like a practical solution to what always seems to be a problem when working on projects.

    1. Thanks, DC! Agreed on the wristband. It’s on my list.

  5. Fun ideas. I’d add wool socks. My husband loves them, both for outdoor activities and around the house.

    1. Thanks, Kalie! Wool socks are a brilliant idea!

  6. I wish tech things were a bit cheaper. I’m more of a tech gadget guy, but seems like the tech stuff is always at lowest, like $20 or so.

    1. Agreed, FP. I looked and looked for decent tech items under $15 and couldn’t find any quality items. But, if you’re willing to spend a little more, there are some great tech gifts available for under $50.

  7. I like the cliplight. We have used them a couple times for several of our DIY projects with tight quarters. They are magnetic and handy for placing on our water heater as we had a leak behind our water softener and the second person couldn’t get into place to shine enough light. The work gloves also look really nice and a considerable upgrade from the loose $5 gardening gloves.

    1. Thanks, Josh! I like the cliplight too. It beats trying to hold a flashlight and a tool and works great for tight spaces.

  8. Great list of reasonably priced gifts. My wife and I considered not getting each other gifts but decided to get reasonably priced and practical gifts or DIY gifts instead. I’m hoping you post perfect gifts for women under $15 soon! =)

    1. Thanks, Andrew! Stay tuned…tomorrow is gifts for women under $15!

  9. I might have to pick up one of those compression shirts!

    1. It’s a great price for those shirts! 🙂

  10. I can not BBQ without my chimney starter! Such a great tool to get coals ready to use in about 10 minutes. Great list. Yes I second Andrew’s comment. We need a list for women, us guys can be bad at coming up with gift ideas or reading minds. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Brian! The chimney starters are great – so quick with the charcoal grills. You mean you can’t read your wife’s mind? Women’s gifts coming up tomorrow!

  11. Like Brian said above, those Chimney Starters are awesome! I am also digging that magnetic wristband idea, I was assembling baby things this weekend and lost the little alan wrench all over the room……

    1. Baby furniture! How fun! I think that wristband could come in handy in so many DIY situations!

  12. I have to admit that those gloves look amazing!!! I definitely could picture myself using this gloves outside in the winter.

Thanks for sharing such fun and interesting gift ideas!!!

    1. No problem! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  13. Fantastic list! Great find on that compression shirt by the way. I’ll add two more to the list 🙂

    1. For guys who like to work out- Creatine is a good value.

    2. For guys who like to cook- safety in the kitchen is always a plus!

  14. Great list! The magnetic wrist band is really cool. I didn’t even know they had stuff like that haha.

I liked your hygiene ideas. One of my favorite gifts a friend gave me was a really good cologne. Now it’s pretty much the only one I use!

    1. I try to go for useful, so the hygiene products fit the bill there. Thanks, Andrew!

  15. When I saw your title, I thought, “There’s only one man I have to buy for” – but that’s not true! There are two boyfriends in the picture now (not mine! my two eldest daughters’) so this is handy. That shirt (to wear under clothes for skiing, right?) is only $15? I’ve spent at least 3 times that much on that type of shirt!

    1. Too funny, Ruth! 🙂 The shirt is a base layer, so it would be great for skiing (and reviews are decent). Hope this helped with your shopping…I think it’s hard to buy for men.

  16. Forget my BF, I’m getting that magnetic wrist band for myself! 🙂 Great round up here. I had an in home focus group study scheduled for yesterday but they canceled a few hours before…I STILL get my $200 Amazon gift card!! I guess I know how I’m spending it! 😉

    1. You and I think alike, Miss Mazuma! I actually thought about getting myself the wrist band. 🙂 A $200 Amazon gift card is a dream for me! Congrats – what a perfect time to receive it!

  17. Heather

Thanks for the list.. I’m on a super tight budget and trying to find something for my outdoorsy boyfriend has been a struggle. I got him a Bottle Keeper (insulated beer bottle holder which I know he’ll love) – but I think I’ll order the magnesium survival tool too .. and it was on’t $8.95 today!! He goes on at least 2 backpacking trips a year with his buddies and I think he might actually use it! Thanks for the idea! (oh, and the beard oil/comb, which was my first choice is sold out on amazon!)

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Heather! The bottle keeper sounds like a great gift. I’m glad you found something on the list. Bummer on the beard kit – I’ll take a look at that later and see if I can replace it with something similar. Thanks for letting me know and for the comment! 🙂
